Bergi Bio Agriturismo and beekeeping
a story of love and respect for bees
Bees, industrious guardians of biodiversity and life on Earth
Bergi is committed to protecting and caring for nature.
With this vision in mind, the Di Garbo family has launched several projects aimed at protecting biodiversity, including the protection of bees and, in particular, the Sicilian Black Bee.
Bees, small industrious insects, play a fundamental role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Through pollination, they are responsible for the reproduction of over 70% of food crops and a wide variety of wild plants, thus contributing to biodiversity and global food security.
Among the most valuable species is the Sicilian Black Bee (Apis mellifera siciliana), a native breed of Sicily, now a Slow Food Presidium. Resistant and perfectly adapted to the Sicilian climate, this species represents a natural heritage to be protected. Thanks to its activity, the Sicilian Black Bee helps to preserve the typical essences of the Madonie Park, creating unique honeys that tell the story of the territory.

Beekeepers, guardians of nature
Beekeepers play a crucial role in protecting bees and safeguarding the environment. Their dedication is not limited to honey production, but includes protecting hives, caring for colonies and raising awareness of the value of bees for the planet.
At Bergi, the connection with bees is part of a tradition that combines innovation and respect for nature. Thanks to the work of beekeepers, it is possible to discover the magic of the hive and taste honeys that encapsulate the essence of the Madonie.
Book the Sensory Honey Tasting experience and let yourself be captivated by the world of bees and the authentic flavours of Bergi.
