Organic Farm in the Madonie Mountains, Sicily
Organic products, sustainability and quality, with a strong link to Sicilian tradition
Originating from the ancient "vegetable garden" of the Feudo Bergi estate owned by Francesco Minà Palumbo, a renowned doctor and scientist from Castelbuono, today covering an area of over 100 hectares, the farm, born from the passion of Pasquale Di Garbo and Anna Sottile, has embraced the tradition and history of Sicilian agriculture in the heart of the Madonie mountains, producing and marketing excellent Sicilian organic products.
The farm boasts a wide variety of products: fruit and vegetables, Sicilian Black Bee Honey, already a Slow Food Presidium, vegetable preserves, extra virgin olive oil, manna, sweet liqueurs and herbal bitters. Bergi honey and all our products carry the Paniere Natura Parnassius collective quality mark, issued by the Madonie Park to producers of high-quality, traditional products.
In addition to being registered as a fruit and vegetable, olive and bee farming company, certified organic under EC Reg. 834/2007 by SUOLO E SALUTE, it has recently been awarded the ECOLABEL Community eco-label for tourist accommodation services, no. IT/025/192, an official recognition that indicates good environmental performance and offers consumers the certainty of high quality of their chosen destination, with the aim of promoting sustainable tourism.
Bergi Honey: variety and quality come together in jars of sweetness.
Produced exclusively by bees that feed on wild flowers and organic crops, Bergi honey is a guarantee of quality, as attested by the many awards it has deservedly won over the years.
The variety of production reflects the company's focus on caring for the land and its diversity: wildflower, thistle, bramble and the exclusive asphodel honey are just some of the types featured in the company's catalogue.
